TROJAN: GateCrasher Server Probe


This signature detects the message "GateCrasher" sent to a target host on TCP/6969. Attackers can be attempting to gain access to the GateCrasher Trojan server. GateCrasher, a remote administration Trojan similar to Back Orifice, enables attackers to remotely access data and gain control over some functions on Microsoft Windows systems.

Extended Description

GateCrasher is a backdoor trojan that infects Microsoft Windows operating systems. It allows a remote attacker to take control of the infected host.
