TELNET: Option Buffer Overflow


This protocol anomaly triggers when it detects a TELNET option with a length that exceeds the maximum allowed or configured. This can be a buffer overflow attempt.

Extended Description

Receiving such a message could indicate a software configuration error or that an attack is being attempted.
