This signature detects the runtime behavior of the spyware IECodec. IECodec is a browser helper object that is used to fool users into downloading Trojans by pretending to be a codec. This malicious application includes message dialogs under the address bar; clicking on these links leads to anti-spyware scanners. The message continues to display along with prompts scaring users to scan their system.
