SNMPTRAP: Zero Length For OID


This protocol anomaly is an SNMP trap with a zero length Object ID.

Extended Description

An OID data-length field of zero constitutes a protocol anomaly. This condition could indicate a network configuration error, or that an attacker is attempting to inject malformed SNMP packets into the network.
