SNMPTRAP: Tag Length Too Large

This protocol anomaly is an SNMP trap in which the tag length exceeds the UDP packet size. This can cause some servers to behave incorrectly.

Extended Description

This signature detects an SNMP packet having its tag length exceed the UDP datagram size. Receiving such a packet may indicate an attempt to attack a system. The impact of this flaw depends on how a vulnerable SNMP implementation handles such a malformed packet.
