SNMPTRAP: Non-zero Length For NULL


This protocol anomaly is an SNMP trap with a non-zero length for a NULL value.

Extended Description

If an SNMP datagram is detected in which a NULL value is contained in an OID field, but the value's declared data size is zero, could indicate a network configuration error. It could also indicate that malicious activity involving intentional injection of malformed SNMP datagrams is underway.
