SNMPTRAP: Malformed Object ID

This protocol anomaly is an SNMP trap with invalid Object ID encoding. This can indicate an exploit attempt against the SNMP server.

Extended Description

This signature detects an SNMP TRAP packet with a malformed Object ID. Receiving such a packet could indicate an attempted attack on a system. The impact of this flaw depends on how a vulnerable SNMP implementation handles such malformed packets.
