SNMPTRAP: Invalid MIB Root


This protocol anomaly triggers when it detects a SNMP trap with an invalid MIB root in the Object ID. SNMP Object IDs should begin with 1.3.6.1, which stands for "Internet."

Extended Description

SNMP trap messages that do not begin with 1.3.6.1 may result in incorrect data in the MIB and SNMP trap event notice.
