SNMPTRAP: Community Zero Length

This protocol anomaly triggers when it detects a SNMP trap with an empty community string. This can indicate an attacker is sending bogus SNMP traps to the server.

Extended Description

Receiving an SNMP packet that has an empty community string could indicate an attempted attack on a system. The impact of this flaw depends on how a vulnerable SNMP implementation handles such a malformed packet.
