SNMP: Encoding Invalid Gauge Length


This protocol anomaly triggers when it detects an SNMP message with a Gauge object length of 0 or larger than 4.

Extended Description

SNMP gauge object lengths of 0, or greater than 4, constitute a protocol anomaly. This condition could indicate a network configuration error, or a malicious attack against the affected network via injection of malformed SNMP packets.
