SNMP: Encoding Invalid Error Index Length


This protocol anomaly triggers when it detects an SNMP request with an invalid error index length. Error Index length from the client should be set to 1.

Extended Description

If an SNMP datagram contains an error index field with a declared size greater than one octet, this constitutes a protocol anomaly. This condition could indicate a network configuration error, or an attack.
