SCAN: Saint FTP Scan
This signature detects scan attempts using the SAINT network scanner.
Extended Description
If the SAINT FTP probe successfully locates a vulnerability, the attacker may gain unauthorized access to the targeted host(s). Due to the nature of FTP services, which often run as root, a successful exploitation may result in the attacker acquiring superuser privileges.
