This protocol anomaly is a server response that is received when the original timestamp field does not match the client requests to the transmit timestamp field. This timestamp checking is turned off by default. Set sc_ntp_match_ts to 1 to enable timestamp checking.
If this failure condition persists, NTP synchronization will be interrupted. Over time, host clocks will skew and gradually become inaccurate. Inaccurate host clock settings may result in a variety of software failures or inaccuracies such as delayed scheduled jobs, incorrect transaction timestamps, and database corruption.
