This protocol anomaly is an undefined variable name found in the data field of a control message.
If this failure condition persists, NTP synchronization will be interrupted. Over time, host clocks will skew and gradually become inaccurate. Inaccurate host clock settings may result in a variety of software failures or inaccuracies such as delayed scheduled jobs, incorrect transaction timestamps, and database corruption.
