NETBIOS Unix Samba Client Access
This signature detects attempts to access a Samba NETBIOS SMB share. Attackers can initiate SMB sessions with no user name or password to get a default GUEST login from the server.
Extended Description
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability could allow a remote attacker log in to Samba with GUEST account permissions. They may use this access to launch further attacks.
