This protocol anomaly is an LPR control file length that exceeds the user-defined maximum. The default control file length is 1024; you can change this setting in the Sensor Settings Rulebase>Protocol Thresholds and Configuration>LPR>Control file size. Triggering this protocol anomaly can indicate that an attacker is attempting to download large files to the LPR daemon.
Any value that exceeds the user-defined maximal LPR control file length is treated as a protocol anomaly. The impact depends on how an affected server processes a malformed LPR command containing an overly large control file length.
