LDAP: Microsoft Windows 2000 Active Directory LDAP Parsing Memory Corruption


This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against Windows 2000 domain controllers. A successful attack can result in a server denial of service or arbitrary code execution.

Extended Description

Microsoft Active Directory is prone to a remote code-execution vulnerability. Attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Successful exploits will completely compromise the affected computer. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions.
