LDAP: Modify Request: Part Empty


This protocol anomaly is an LDAP modify request message, where the length of one of the modification operations was found to be zero. The modification field of a modify request contains a series of modify operations to be performed on the entry.

Extended Description

Improperly-formed BER data structures may cause LDAP applications to exhibit unexpected behavior, potentially exposing security flaws, such as buffer overflows, in software components that process the data.
