IMAP: Command Buffer Overflow


This protocol anomaly triggers when it detects an IMAP command that is too long. This can indicate a buffer overflow attempt.

Extended Description

Excessivly long IMAP commands are protocol anomalies. Receiving such a command may indicate an attack attempt. The impact depends on how a vulnerable IMAP server handles such a malformed message.
