This signature detects attempts to exploit a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the WordPress SocialGrid plugin. It is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input submitted to the default_services parameter of the inline-admin.js.php script. Attackers can steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.
The SocialGrid plugin for WordPress is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data. An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks. SocialGrid 2.3 is affected; other versions may also be vulnerable.
