HTTP: Microsoft Internet Explorer Redirect Memory Corruption
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against Microsoft Internet Explorer. It is due to an error handling HTTP server redirect responses that contain the CDL protocol. A successful attack can lead to memory corruption followed by arbitrary code execution.
Extended Description
Microsoft Internet Explorer is prone to a remote code-execution vulnerability. Successful exploits will allow an attacker to run arbitrary code in the context of the user running the affected application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions.
