HTTP: EB Design ebCrypt Unsafe Activex Control
This signature detects attempts to use unsafe ActiveX controls in the EB Design ebCrypt. An attacker can create a malicious Web site containing Web pages with dangerous ActiveX controls, which if accessed by a victim, allows the attacker to gain control of the victim's client browser.
Extended Description
ebCrypt ActiveX control is prone to an arbitrary-file-overwrite vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this issue to overwrite arbitrary local files. This may aid in further attacks. This issue affects ebCrypt 2.0; other versions may also be vulnerable.
