CHARGEN: Echo DoS


This protocol anomaly is a UDP packet sent to the chargen server with a source port set to the echo port. This can flood the network, causing a denial-of-service (DoS).

Extended Description

Echo and chargen can be exploited by remote attackers to launch denial of service attacks.
