HTTP: VariCAD DWB File Remote Code Execution
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in VariCAD. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution.
Extended Description
VariCAD 2010 and VariCAD Viewer are prone to a remote buffer-overflow vulnerability because the applications fail to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input. Attackers may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions. VariCAD 2010 2.05 and VariCAD Viewer are vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
