HTTP: Total Video Player 'TVP type' Tag Handling Remote Buffer Overflow

This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in the Total Video Player. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the affected application.

Extended Description

Total Video Player is prone to a remote buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to properly bounds-check user-supplied data before copying it to an insufficiently sized memory buffer. An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code within the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial of service. Total Video Player 1.31 provided by 'vcen.dll' is affected; other versions may also be vulnerable.
