This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in Microsoft Office PowerPoint. It is due to insufficient boundary check when processing crafted Printer records. A successful attack can lead to memory corruption and arbitrary code execution.
Microsoft PowerPoint is prone to a remote code-execution vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this issue by enticing a victim to open a specially crafted PowerPoint 4.0 file. Successfully exploiting this issue can allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the currently logged-in user.
