HTTP: Power Audio Editor cda File Processing Denial of Service
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability against Power Audio Editor. The vulnerability exists due to an error in the way that the affected server handles malformed data. An attacker can send a crafted message to the server causing its termination, thereby creating a denial-of-service condition.
Extended Description
Power Audio Editor is prone to a remote denial-of-service vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this issue to cause an affected application to crash, denying service to legitimate users. Power Audio Editor 7.4.3.230 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
