HTTP: Numark CUE 5 m3u File Buffer Overflow
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in Numark CUE 5. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the affected user.
Extended Description
Numark CUE 5 is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input. Successfully exploiting this issue may allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed exploit attempts will cause denial-of-service conditions. Numark CUE 5 5.0 rev 2 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
