HTTP: Macro Express Pro mxe File Buffer Overflow
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in Macro Express Pro. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the user.
Extended Description
Macro Express Pro is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied data. Attackers may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions. Macro Express Pro 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.1.1 are vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
