This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in the eXeScope version 6.50. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the affected application.
eXeScope is prone to a remote buffer-overflow vulnerability because the application fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input. Attackers may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions. eXeScope 6.50 is vulnerable; other versions may be affected as well.
