HTTP: Easy Web Password ".ewp" File Buffer Overflow
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in the Easy Web Password ewp File. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the affected user.
Extended Description
Easy Web Password is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because the application fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input. Attackers may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions. Easy Web Password 1.2 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
