This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in IBM's Lotus Domino Web Access ActiveX control. An attacker can create a malicious Web site containing Web pages with dangerous ActiveX call, which if accessed by a victim, allows the attacker to gain control of the victim's client browser.
IBM Lotus Domino Web Access ActiveX control is prone to multiple memory-corruption vulnerabilities because the application fails to properly bounds-check user-supplied input. Successfully exploiting these issues can allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application using the affected ActiveX control. Failed exploit attempts will likely result in denial-of-service conditions.
