HTTP: HTTP Adobe Flex 3 History Management Cross-Site Scripting
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Adobe Flex 3 History Management. It is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. Attackers can steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.
Extended Description
Adobe Flex 3 is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks. This issue affects Flex Builder 3, Flex SDK 3.0.1, and any applications built with Flex 3 that have enabled History Management.
