A code execution vulnerability has been identified in Adobe Audition. The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of Audition Session (.ses) files. By enticing a user to download and process a specially crafted file with an affected version of the application, a remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code under the context of the current user.
Adobe Audition is prone to a remote buffer-overflow vulnerability. Attackers may exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code within the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts may result in a denial-of-service condition. Adobe Audition 3.0.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
