This signature detects attempts to use unsafe ActiveX controls in Tumbleweed SecureTransport suite. An attacker can create a malicious Web site containing Web pages with dangerous ActiveX controls, which if accessed by a victim, allows the attacker to gain control of the victim's client browser.
Tumbleweed SecureTransport is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input. An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of an application using the ActiveX control (typically Internet Explorer). Failed attacks will likely cause denial-of-service conditions.
