HTTP: Synactis ALL In-The-Box ActiveX Control Arbitrary File Overwrite
This signature detects attempts to use unsafe ActiveX controls in the Synactis ALL In-The-Box. An attacker can create a malicious Web site containing Web pages with dangerous ActiveX controls, which if accessed by a victim, allows the attacker to gain control of the victim's client browser to overwrite arbitrary files on the victim's computer.
Extended Description
Synactis ALL In-The-Box ActiveX control is prone to a vulnerability that lets attackers overwrite arbitrary local files on the victim's computer in the context of the vulnerable application using the ActiveX control (typically Internet Explorer). Synactis ALL In-The-Box ActiveX 3 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
