This signature detects attempts to exploit a known flaw in ComponentOne FlexGrid ActiveX Control. A successful attack could result in arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the user's browser instance, possibly Administrator.
Extended Description
ComponentOne FlexGrid ActiveX Control is prone to a remote buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied data. Attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code within the context of the application using the vulnerable control (typically Internet Explorer). ComponentOne FlexGrid 7.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
