This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in the Realtek Media Player. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the targeted application.
Extended Description
Realtek Media Player (RtlRack) is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because the application fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input. Attackers may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions. This issue affects Realtek Media Player A4.06; other versions may also be affected.
