This signature detects attempts to exploit a known remote file inclusion vulnerability in the Wim Fleischhauer docpile. It is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can exploit this by enticing a target to open a malicious URL link. A successful attack can result in arbitrary code execution and loss of sensitive information.
Docpile is prone to multiple remote file-include vulnerabilities because the application fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker can exploit these issues to include an arbitrary remote file containing malicious PHP code and execute it in the context of the webserver process. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and the underlying system; other attacks are also possible. These issues affect version 0.2.2; other versions may also be vulnerable.
