This signature detects attempts to exploit multiple known vulnerabilities in Bacula-web. An attacker can steal cookie-based authentication credentials, compromise the application, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database.
Bacula-web is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability and an SQL-injection vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data. Exploiting these issues could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site, steal cookie-based authentication credentials, compromise the application, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database. Bacula-web 5.0.3 and 1.38.9_1 are vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
