This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in the EvoCam Web Server. A successful attack can lead to a buffer overflow and arbitrary remote code execution within the context of the affected application.
EvoCam is prone to a remote buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input. An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running the server. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial-of-service condition. EvoCam 3.6.6 and 3.6.7 are vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
