This signature detects attempts to exploit a known cross-site scripting vulnerability in SAP Web Application Server. It is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. Attackers can steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.
SAP Web Application Server is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because the application fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may let the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks. SAP Web Application Server 7.0 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
