APP: Novell iManager Tree Name Denial of Service
This signature detects attempts to exploit a known vulnerability in Novell iManager. It is due to insufficient validation of the TREE parameter during login access. By sending a maliciously crafted HTTP request to the target server, a remote unauthenticated attacker can exploit this to cause abnormal termination of the affected service leading to a denial of service condition.
Extended Description
Novell iManager is prone to a denial-of-service vulnerability due to an off-by-one error. Attackers may exploit this issue to crash the affected application, denying service to legitimate users.
